The lacing animal is made with high-quality Baltic Birch. It is approximately 6” x 9” in size. It has 16-17 holes drilled into its outer margin. These small motor skill items are outlines of various animals such as rabbits, owls, etc.
There is a flat shoelace supplied for the student to practice their lacing skills. The flat shoelace does not easily slide out of the hole as a round lace would allow the student to concentrate on lacing skills and not retrieving a “slippery” string. We have learned that a classroom normally has a minimum of two of these. Each animal will be different.

Once a child has mastered the fine motor skills of placing the top into the handle, threading the paracord through the top’s handle, and winding the paracord around the top spindle of the top, a lot of intense energy and concentration has been spent. There will be a great sense of accomplishment when this task is mastered.
When they pull the top’s handle [another difficult coordination skill] and the spinning top takes off, they are usually excited and mesmerized. These tops will spin for a very long time.
These assembly kits consist of car bodies, wheels, and axles. They are intended as a project for evening classes for children and their caregivers.
The child assembles the axles and wheels onto the cab body using wood glue (provided by the classroom instructors). Shortly after assembly the cars are ready for painting and/or the application of stickers. After that, it is playtime.
The following Kits are available (see above catalog for assembled vehicles):
Vehicle – Jack’s Racer Kit
Vehicle – Indy Car Racers (a limited number of these are still available)
*Our emphasis is on classroom items. ‘Vehicle Assembly Kits’ come in mesh bags and is the only item CFK anticipates that children take home in the counties we serve. We will make every effort to fill your classroom needs.
